Character Bios - The Strangerhood
Tovar is from a country thought to be lost to time, which nobody who doesn't live there can spell or pronounce. I think it has consecutive Qs. Unfortunately, Tovar has a working I.Q. of about 70. His country was ill-equipped to take care of someone as "special" as he is, and he fell through the cracks of the educational system.
Tovar's father was a stand-up comedian and his mother was a ventriloquist, and somehow he managed to convince himself that he was supposed to try to mimic one of them while being deathly afraid of the other. He chose to mimic his Dad, because his Dad's act didn't involve a mysterious talking puppet obsessed with poop jokes.
